The Special Political and Decolonization Committee focuses on political issues regarding governments, political economics, and foreign relations. In this committee, delegates will debate and pass resolutions regarding election fraud and the over-reliance on exports of developing countries. With the world's ever-changing political landscape it is important to resolve these issues now.
Sahasra is a sophomore at Freeman highschool in the leadership center. She has been doing Model UN for 4 years now and she loves to do a wide array of committees. Along with Model UN, she is an active member in FBLA, TSA and RAMPS. In her free time she enjoys reading, walking her dog, and various arts and crafts. She is very excited to meet and work with all the delegates in SPECPOL.
Aarush Vallapureddy is a junior in the Center of Leadership, Government, and Global Economics at Freeman. He's been a member of Model UN for 2 years and has competed in 2 conferences. He has leadership roles and has participated in the Chess Club, TSA, and Robotics. During his free time, he is always working on creating different things using Legos and CAD, as well as constructing objects using wood. Aarush looks forward to chairing the SPECPOL committee and is thrilled to meet the delegates.
