After Europe is ravaged by the Napoleonic Wars, the French Empire falls, and political and social systems across the continent have been disrupted, European powers send their best diplomats to Vienna. Their goal is far easier said than done: restore order and ensure long lasting peace. Before reinstating the balance of power many things need to be hashed out. The royals and statesmen of Europe need to redraw borders, legitimize governments, determine how to prevent future wars, and reassess France’s power while Klemmens von Metternich of Austria plays as their host and chair.
