As humanity expands beyond Earth, the Governance of Mars in 2100 committee gathers to establish laws and systems for peaceful and sustainable settlement on the Red Planet. With colonies now thriving under both national and corporate leadership, delegates face two major issues, Regulation of Resources on Mars and Competition for Colonization. The first addresses how Martian water, minerals, and energy sources can be shared fairly without damaging the fragile environment, while the second examines growing rivalries over territory, citizenship, and sovereignty. Delegates must decide whether Mars will repeat the mistakes of Earth’s imperialism or become a model of cooperation and unity for humankind.
